The Assembly is on the corner of a modern office block in Seething Lane just off the busy Byward Street, an All Bar One is just 20 yards away, another 20 yards is the Liberty Bounds and all, just around the corner from Trinity Square.  The Assembly is not a huge venue, more on the intimate side, aimed at lunchtime dinners then towards drinking in the evening.
Although, I popped in on a Wednesday lunchtime and asked "could I just have a drink at the bar", the bargirl said "no problem, what would you like" so I ordered half a Leiffe.  The prices are not cheap, but you are not going to miss a mortgage payment if you have lunch.  A tall bar with marble top is to your right and the open viewed kitchen is to the back, you can clearly see your meals being prepared. There is an odd wooden partition providing a variance to the seating views.
